Leather and Other Wallets
Long before leather mens wallets came into being, leather pouches were used since coins were the only currency known. Wallets debuted during the 1600s soon after paper currency, which was then made of corn paper, became widely used in the West. The earliest wallets were made of superior leather from cow or horse skin and were very durable.
today's mens leather wallets with all these card slots were nonexistent until credit cards became popular in the 1950s. The most notable variation in wallet varieties was in the 1970s when Velcro debuted. In 1995 Ken Obenski created a slimmer wallet, but today you can find leather wallets, or those from other materials, in various models, shapes, and colors.
There are wallets slim enough you can barely notice them. There are leather wallets that are so thin it is easy for the owner to hide it. There is another variety of wallets with a leather string attached for it to be hung around the neck and hidden under the clothes also for the same purpose.
There are five types of travel wallets especially made for girls. For boys, it is all right to own one wallet. Let's take a look.
